At Creative House of Caris, we are aware to the fact that the audience we create for may differ in many ways. As a business we wanted to ensure everyone has a great viewing and listening experience regarless of how it is consumed becuase stories only matter when people can access them. My team and I design content with different needs in mind, that means paying attention to how people hear, see, process, and feel the world around them.
In our content we include captions on all dialouge because we want tone-deaf and hard-of-hearing people to follow the story without missing the emotional beats. For viewers who are sensitive to color, we choose palettes and contrasts that stay comfortable without taking away from the mood of the film. When we edit for younger audiences or people affected by harsh light, we keep flashing elements and sudden transitions to a minimum so the experience stays safe and calm.
We also think about motion sensitivity, so camera moves are intentional, steady, and easy on the eyes. For neurodivergent viewers, we try to create clear pacing, structured flow, and predictable scene changes. And for anyone who needs a quieter viewing space, my mixes avoid sharp peaks, harsh highs, or sound moments that feel overwhelming.
We believe in storytelling is built for all not some. Inclusion isn’t a feature on top of the craft. It’s part of how we create from the start, and it shapes the way every project comes to life here at the Creative House of Caris.
